Music, Crap and the jockeys that dish it out.

I love music! It has the capacity to relate many levels of emotions, although as of late I have tried to steer clear of the radio. If there is one thing I can't stand it's Shock Jocks or Disc Jockeys that insist on talking about some of the most vapid themes! This is where I have designated a difference between music lovers and the masses of sheep that will listen to whatever is fed to them. I simply Hate pop music! I really don't care for some of these so called artists that regurgitate original ideas and tweak them for their benefit. It just seems that there is just too much emphasis being put on this noize that repeatedly is being pounded into our craniums. But I have made peace by listening to Pandora. The idea of building your own radio station appeals to me. I can listen to true musical icons like Etta James or Nina Simone and then have a seperate station when I crave some Vivaldi and Puccini. I also have a station for Joy Division and Bauhaus. And a more current station for when I want to listen to Muse and Laika. Pandora helps out alot! I've been called an asshole elitist when it comes to musical taste, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  I just can't bring myself to take Lady Ga Ga or Kanye seriously. Who would want to listen to that same B.S. played over and over again? SHEEP! Thats who. I mean, I'm not against diversity, but be serious when you imply it. When asked who my favorite artist  is I have to ask what genre because I feel that there is a huge palette of sounds out there, I mean why settle for the Black Eyed Peas when you have Led Zepplin and Massive Attack? Who cares about Beyonce when you have Billie Holiday and Annie Lennox? So many emotions that can be met by so many artists! The past 5 decades offered so much talent and yet it's hard to find a decent radio station that can consistently play music that reflects that! Just once I'd like to hear something like Hooverphonic followed by Edith Piaf or Jeff Buckley! Hence my love of Pandora. Thank god for Pandora!!!! And all without having to hear annoying over the top Crap Jockeys who try to overcompensate the lack in taste by speaking really loud about things that I really have no concern over.
